Founder and President, U.S. Legal Consultants, LLC

ROBERT R. “BOB” REYNOLDS

Bob Reynolds is a native Floridian and former United States Marine who’s political and public service spans some 40 years. Following Bob’s graduation from college he was recognized as a collegiate debate champion; he returned to Miami and joined the Miami Police Department.

His police service as President of his Police Academy Class, Officer of the Year, recipient of the Fraternal Order of Police Gold star for Bravery and Legion of Honor award has made him one of the most decorated police officers in Miami’s history. This recognition would later serve as his springboard to elective office. Running for the State legislature in the most multi-ethnic district in the State of Florida, Bob put his political and communicative skills to use to overcome what the Miami Herald would later describe as “overwhelming odds”. Bob was elected to three consecutive terms to the Florida House of Representatives.

During his tenure in the House, Bob served as Vice Chairman of the powerful Regulated Industries Committee, the Criminal Justice Committee and was appointed by the Speaker of the House to Chair the Health and Rehabilitative Services oversight committee. The Fraternal Order of Police recognized Bob as there, “Legislator of the Year” for his successful effort to change a discriminatory law that prohibited public employees from seeking political office without first having to resign from their employment. He was also recognized as “legislator of the Year” by the United Teachers of Dade County and later received the J. Edgar Hoover award by the National Police Hall of Fame.

Bob would later serve with the Florida Department of Insurance as an Insurance Fraud Investigator and Legislative Affairs Coordinator. He successfully lobbied and won a ten-year battle to grant “high risk Status” and the right to carry a firearm for Law Enforcement investigators working for the State of Florida.

He successfully lobbied and oversaw the merger between the Department of Business Regulation and the Department of Professional Regulation. For his efforts he was appointed the Inspector General by the Secretary of the newly created Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).

Bob holds a degree in both Political Science and Speech Communications from Illinois State University. He holds an active Florida legal expense license.
